On-the-Job Training - Job Coaching
This web site has information on Job Coaching and On-the-Job Training services offered to Rehabilitation Services Commission clients who are new to employment. These services are designed to help get disabled individuals working by giving job coaching and other supports needed to maintain employment – they are delivered in the work site. Coaching and training sessions are customized to teach the worker based on the employer’s needs and expectations.
On-the-job training (OJT) funds exist for use when an employer hires an applicant into a training position and the employee continues in employment upon completion of this training. The employer is then reimbursed (partially) for his/her contribution during the training.
OJT provides applicants with disabilities an opportunity to engage in work while learning; for employers, it provides an excellent opportunity to employ and train people to meet your unique employment needs.
The Rehabilitation Services Commission (RSC) provides on-the-job training to its clients on employers’ expectations and standards. Rehabilitation Services Commission (RSC) can also provide a professional to train employees while they are on the job.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Motor Vehicles
This guide is mainly about the Rehabilitation Services Commission (RSC) and its rules for purchasing, modifying and upgrading a vehicle and equipment to operate the vehicle for Rehabilitation Services Commission's clients. Challenging these rules is also covered in this guide.
It also has some basic information about vocational rehabilitation, who is eligible for these services and what vocational services are available in Ohio.
